The Ottawa Train Yards will provide one of the largest single office developments in Ottawa. 1.1 million square feet of Class "A" office space will be built over the course of the next five years or sooner. This site will appeal to major organizations wishing to set up a campus type presence in the City.
The site offers excellent demographics which are so important in attracting a skilled labour force in a tight labour market. It is estimated that 219,000 residents live within a 15 minute drive of the site and 310,000 residents live within a 5 kilometre radius. The labour force in this area is well educated and tends to be bilingual.
In addition to excellent road access, public transit service is of the highest quality.
State of the art telecommunications are available. The Ottawa Train Yards is located along the main fiber optic corridor serving Ottawa, making this site of particular interest to high bandwidth users.
The Office Campus has been planned as a neighbourhood of buildings, at the heart of which, is a generously-scaled oval parkland available to all buildings which will provide areas for passive recreation, seating and social enjoyment.
